Kinvara Swimming and Life Saving Club’s annual Christmas Swim Fundraiser returns to Trácht Beach at 1pm on Thursday 25 December to help raise much needed funds for Galway Hospice. 

Galway Hospice provides compassionate palliative care to patients and their families in counties Galway and Mayo. The service offers Inpatient, day care and community services, which are underpinned by exemplary knowledge and delivered with compassion,  dignity, respect and excellence. Their services improve the quality of life of patients who are facing life limiting illness with their families with compassion, empathy and kindness at the core of the person centred care they provide. 

The annual Kinvara Swimming Club Christmas Day dip is a key feature in the community calendar and will reward swimmers, paddlers and onlookers with festive hot chocolate and warming mulled wine, (participants are encouraged to bring along their own reusable cups in keeping with the goals of Plastic Free Kinvara).

In 2024, our community came together and raised almost €3,000 for the National Centre for Breast Cancer Research. This year, Kinvara Swimming Club would love to see as many of you as possible joining us in supporting the immeasurable work of Galway Hospice. 

The Christmas Swim Fundraiser will start at 1.00pm on 25 December 2025 at Trácht in Kinvara. We look forward to seeing you all there.
